Elevating the UK's Leading Industry Voice
Founded in 2021, The Cannabis Industry Council (CIC) is the leading membership organisation representing the UK’s regulated cannabis sector. The CIC brings together more than 100 member organisations spanning the full supply chain, alongside charities, clinical bodies, and research institutions working to advance the industry responsibly.
Dedicated to evidence-based policy and public education, the CIC works to raise the profile of the cannabis sector, improve patient access to medical cannabis prescriptions, and support the sustainable growth of the CBD and Hemp markets. Through collaboration, research and advocacy, the CIC believes that responsible access to medical cannabis can deliver meaningful benefits for public health, the environment, and the UK economy.
Strengthening Membership Engagement
The Cannabis Industry Council (CIC) looked to maintain consistent engagement across a diverse and growing membership whilst positioning itself as the authoritative voice of the UK’s industry.
The organisation required a cohesive strategy to elevate its public profile, strengthen member communications, and deliver high-quality events that would engage stakeholders across policy, healthcare, and commercial sectors. Additionally, there was a need to amplify thought leadership and secure meaningful visibility within the UK and on the international stage.
Establishing High-Impact Events & Strengthening Community Engagement
The CIC successfully established a consistent and high-impact events programme in 2026, delivering a mix of educational, networking, and flagship industry moments that strengthened community engagement and member value.
Through strategic internal communications, PR and events activities, Americana has been able to help enhance the CIC’s reputation as a leading authority within the UK’s medical cannabis sector, with increased visibility across media, industry events, and policy discussions. The expansion of both in-person and digital engagement content channels has enabled the organisation to maintain regular, meaningful touch points with its membership, fostering a stronger and more connected industry network.
